Located in central Europe, Slovakia shares borders with Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Ukraine.
The capital, Bratislava, has the peculiarity of being the only capital in the world bordering two independent countries (Austria and Hungary)! While being a landlocked country, Slovakia doesn't miss any natural resources: the country features beautiful mountains that will rejoice any hiking fan. With many lakes, waterfalls and rivers, it is also the perfect place for kayaking and canoeing for example!
In addition to the beautiful landscapes, Slovakia is actually world famous for its castles. The country counts indeed 180 castles and 425 chateaux, which is a pretty impressive number for a small country!
